I would like to be your expert webmaster as a Pinellas county based business myself.  I work primarily

A webmaster is a person responsible for maintaining a website(s). The duties of the webmaster may include ensuring that the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately, designing the website, generating and revising web pages, replying to user comment, and examining traffic through the site.

An alternative definition of webmaster is a businessperson who uses online media to sell products and/or services. This broader definition of webmaster covers not just the technical aspects of overseeing Web site construction and maintenance but also management of content, advertising, marketing and order fulfilment for the Web site.

One of the greatest aspects of Joomla websites, is that any computer user can quickly learn how to add content to their website.  Whether you need to blog, update your company information, or offer specials, you can have as much access as needed to make some changes to it yourself.  I personally will be willing to guide you in making changes on your own as you wish, but of course as your webmaster I can add articles and content to your website for you.  It's as simple as asking my by email to add something to your website or to make changes.

Before you decide to choose me as your Pinellas web design company, I'd like to show you some examples of my work.  One company would be that of The Camera Cure located in downtown St Petersburg, Florida.  This small local business was an individual that needed a website built before he had yet opened a store front.  He had a a great refereal business for peforming camera repairs but need his website to showcase a few items he had refurbished, and give his customers a place where they could contact him and request quotes for service.

Mark, was able to work with me through emails and phone calls to get exactly the website he wanted and it has since drawn many compliments from his customers.  The website was able to create a very proffessional online presence to matchu his qality service and exceptional expierence as a camera repairman.  I encourage you to check out Mark's website and feel free to ask him what his expereince is working with me as his website designer.

What must your website do? PDF Print E-mail

In order to create a website it is best to know what you will need your website to do.

Will you need a form for your customers to contact you quickly?

Do you need pictures of your store or products?

Is selling products or accepting payment something your website must do?

Would a map to your doorstep be useful to your customers?

What other things can someone looking for your services find useful on your website?

These are just a few of the questions you will ask yourself when making a website.  I do the making, you answer the questions.  That should be how easy it is, and that is what I strive to do for you.  We will need to discuss all the aspirations you have for your website, and while we can start simple, it is worth it to you in the long run to give these ideas some thought.  We can always add functionality to your website later, once we have the basic design online and you get some feedback from your customers.  So give me a call and we can talk more about what is the primary and secondary functions of your website.

Choosing a domain name PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator

Choosing a domain name is a great first business decison for you to make.  When possible try to apply these rules ( don't be too strict, but adhering to them is wise in the long run)

  1. Make the name close to keywords that apply to your business, industry or product: thecameracure.com, pinellaspropertyonline.com .
  2. Make the name easy to say.  If you have to spell and re-spell a domain name over the phone, it  can be uncomfortable at times.  Something easy like bobs-bikes.com  is easy to say and spell.
  3. Avoid lots of prefixes like hot, best, and easy.  It looks and feels like you are just a bit late to the game when you get a domain like: besthotcomputers.com
  4. Stick to .com domain names.  The .org , .net , and .us have their place, but are often a last resort domain name in case someone has taken your businesses actual name already.
  5. If one domain doesn't fit all your offerings, consider getting two.  It is only $10/ year for a domain name so if your business might offer two completely different proucts or services, consider two domains as a logical solution before distoring your brand or image too much.
  6. Consult with me when you are ready to get a domain name
